The UK Graduate Route (Post-Study Work Visa) has transformed opportunities for international students, allowing them to work, seek employment, or start a business in the UK for 2-3 years after graduation. At Aavanto, we've guided thousands of students through UK education and visa processes, ensuring smooth transitions from student to professional life.

What is the UK Graduate Route?

The Graduate Route, introduced in July 2021, replaced the previous Post-Study Work (PSW) visa that was discontinued in 2012. This visa allows international students who have successfully completed eligible courses to remain in the UK to work or look for work at any skill level.

Key Features

  • Duration: 2 years for Bachelor's/Master's graduates, 3 years for PhD graduates
  • Work Freedom: Work in any job, at any skill level, change jobs freely
  • No Sponsorship Required: Unlike Skilled Worker visa, no job offer or sponsorship needed
  • Switching Allowed: Can switch to other visa categories (Skilled Worker, Innovator, etc.)
